GO GREEN 2 GET GREEN

Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses of items you no longer need or want! We will sell them on eBay!

Go Green: Bring all your clutter, unused items, or just things you are ready to part with in saleable condition to Pema Karpo. De-clutter your home -- your yard -- your business -- your neighborhood! Ask your friends, family and neighbors to do the same. We can "Go Green" to clean up our environment, big or small, and beautify and organize it.

2 get involved finding items to sell, picking them up if necessary, boxing and mailing, photographing, listing on e-Bay, repairing and/or reconditioning them, e-mail me at dburch@earthlink.net.

2 help in the planning and organizing, or to learn more, come to our first meeting after the service on Sunday, July 31. We will review the status and set next steps. We plan to hold monthly status and planning meetings.

2 support this effort through practice, chant the Supplication to Tara or the Green Tara Mantra. If you need copies of these, e-mail pemakarpomeditation (at) gmail (dot) com.

2 calm our minds while doing work in the world, and 2 use what comes up as the path to liberation, we venture into the depths of the concepts of money, possessions and relationships! We will practice being compassionate with ourselves and others while helping PKMC flourish!

Get Green: Pema Karpo now has a "non-profit store" on e-Bay, where we can sell anything we receive from you. The proceeds from sales will benefit Pema Karpo, and potentially put us in the running with several other organizations to win $40,000 from the Lenz Foundation. All we need now are items to sell!

How YOU Can Help:
• Declutter your home and office. Ask your friends and neighbors to do so also. Donate everything to Pema Karpo.
• Bring all the donated items to Pema Karpo. Or, arrange pick-up of your items by calling us at 901.377.4834, calling or texting 209.206.1463, or by e-mailing dburch@pemakarpo.org.
• Collect used or new boxes and packing materials.
• Volunteering your time to prepare items to sell, or by photographing, transporting, packing and/or shipping
• Soliciting businesses for donated items or services that we can sell on eBay.
• Doing Green Tara practice!

We can use this fundraiser as a means to practice arousing bodhichitta and practicing working with ourselves and with others in a kind and patient way, while helping Pema Karpo pay its mortgage and healing our hearts and the environment.
