Sunday Tara Empowerment (Abhisheka)

His Eminence has accomplished the practice of Tara which is his main practice.

11 AM - 1 PM

Sliding Scale: $30 - $50 (REGISTER)

Tara is a female bodhisattva. She is widely practiced within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition to remove obstacles and grant protection. Monastic and lay practitioners both commonly practice her sadhanas and recite her mantra.

Tara is often practiced to remove obstacles especially due to financial problems and for the accomplishment of what you desire. She is helpful to practice when disasters caused by the five elements such as earthquakes, floods, fires, and storms occur.

To receive an abhisheka from a master who has accomplished her is, in itself, a great blessing and it gives the person complete permission to practice. From the Tibetan Buddhist viewpoint, even if you do not plan to practice, receiving the abhisheka is the cause for good fortune.

From the profound cycle of Dzogchen teachings.

"Ho! Everything - appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana - has a single Ground, yet two paths and two fruitions, and magically displays as Awareness or unawareness."

Samsara and nirvana have the same original ground. This is the teaching on the two paths that arise simultaneously. If you recognize the original ground the result is nirvana and if you do not recognize the original ground the result is samsara.

The Prayer can be recited aloud at any time but is very powerful when done during solar or lunar eclipses, earthquakes, at solstices or the new year.
